Gartner predicts that global semiconductor capital expenditure will grow 10.2 per cent in 2017
Worldwide semiconductor capital expenditure is projected to increase by 10.2 per cent in 2017, to US$ 77.7 billion, according to Gartner Inc. This is due to aggressive investments in memory and leading-edge logic, which are driving spending on wafer-level manufacturing equipment.

CII drives energy efficiency through inverterisation
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organizing a National Seminar on ‘Inverterisation for Energy Efficiency: Technology, Applications and Opportunities’ on September 26, 2017 at Hotel Le Meridien in New Delhi, which highlights the need for adoption of energy efficient appliances for addressing increasing demand of energy.
Electronics Bazaar felt this was an opportune time to interact with some industry experts and get their views on the importance of inverterisation for energy efficient appliances, the challenges and opportunities in this industry, local development efforts and the ecosystem in the country.
